Legal Question in DUI Law in Wisconsin

dwi/dui

20 year student with class A minnesota license with pending dwi charges is moving home to wisconsin. Needs to change over to wisconsin license. Once conviction happens in minnesota will I end up with 2 dwi's on my record, 1 in minnesota and 1 in wisconsin? If so will wisconsin's be considered a 1st or 2nd offence?

DUI OWI Minnesota Conviction Leading to WI Loss of License

If you were only arrested once for OWI, moving to another state will not transform this into two separate convictions. However, since WI and MN have reciprocity, WI will recognize the MN conviction if it occurs and revoke your WI license accordingly. You therefore need to discuss this matter with an experienced criminal/traffic attorney. My comments here are not intended as legal advice unless you subsequently retain me.
