Statute of Limitations for OWI (DUI) 2nd

The statute of limitations (aka "SOL") in WI for criminal cases such as OWI 2nd is six years. You may therefore be charged any time within that period, or even later that that if you are legally "unavailable." Since second offense can carry up to six months in jail as well as many other penalties, I would recommend that you consult with your own attorney (and prior to making any further inquiries with the authorities) in this matter.
