Legal Question in DUI Law in Wisconsin

I was pulled over in walworth county wi. for arrested for dui. i passed the breathalyzer but they made me have a blood test. It has been over 3 weeks and my court date is in 4 days. I know i didnt have any drugs that affected my ability to drive I had not driven in this area not sure what lane to be in so also ticketed me for crossing center line. When results are in do i still have to go to court or will they be dropped?

Usually the blood test results are mailed out within a few weeks of the test, so you should have got it by now. Keep in mind that what many people call "DUI" is typically two different charges in Wisconsin, i.e., operating under the influence and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Both charges carry the same penalty in Wisconsin. You may be prosecuted for operating under the influence even if your breath or blood test result is under the legal limit. I have a more detailed description of how this works on my web page at www.madisionattorney.com. Do not assume that anything will be dropped. Definitely go to the court date. You should also contact a lawyer directly to discuss your case.
