Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Child custody and support

My ex-husband was ordered to provide medical insurance for our son but after 2 years has yet to do so, how can I make this happen.

My ex and I have joint custody with physical placement with me. He has very wide visitation rights but never uses them. He never makes any effort to see our son and it is having quite an emotional effect on our son, is there any way to make him spend time with his son?

The suport order is only for $150 per month at the time I agreed to this amount I thought my ex would be taking our son every other weekend and some nights during the week, because he never takes him my day-care bills for while I'm at work have skyrocketed, is there any way to change the amount of a support order?

Re: Child custody and support

Yes, I would petition the court for a modification of child support. The Court will allow a change in child support when it can be shown there is a change in circumstances.

On the other hand, I would petition the court for a contempt hearing on the fact that he has not paid for health insurance as stated in the original order.

I would recommend talking to a lawyer, they will be able to help you prepare the needed documents.
