child support
my ex-wife has stated to the court that my continued payment of child support is not nessisary. can the court still force me to pay or put me in jail for failure to pay.

Hello,
It is difficult to answer this without knowing all the facts. However, child support is for the child, not your ex-wife. Even if she says it is not necessary, the child support agency and court will have to agree and a new court order would likely be necessary. Otherwise, you may have to pay or a contempt motion could be filed against you. Again, dont rely on this because I dont have all the facts.
