Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin
Child support fraud
Is it fraud when the father lies about not working when he really is working and takes over a month to report it to child support? He's been working for over a month and I have not gotten child support in 29 days, and I thought after 30 they go to jail. But is what he is doing considered fruad? Also he ran us off the road last summer with my son in the backseat and I was pregnant, what can I do to terminate his rights? Do I need to hire an attorney for all this?

Re: Child support fraud
It's a stretch to call this fraud but maybe . . . . and while it's probably not fraud as such, he could be liable for child support for the period of time he concealed his income. It could depend on what existing child support orders have already been issued.
You need to contact an attorney to give him much more information before he/she would be able to advise you about these support and/or termination issues
