Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

child visitation

Our visitation schedule that was set at time of divorce is for them to go to their father's every other weekend during the school year and every other week for a full week during the summer. I now have a 14 year old that does not want to go for a full week during the summer. My younger daughter is fine with the schedule. How can I have the schedule changed for the 14 year old without having to hire a lawyer?

Re: child visitation

You can try to reach an informal agreement directly with your ex. Or maybe you have a minister, counselor or other professional who can help you mediate. If not you can file a motion to modify pro se (without an attorney). Some counties have packets of some kind to assist those without attorneys.

But if you cannot reach and agreement because your ex is opposed, you should have the assistance of an attorney.
