Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

childsupport/mediation

I did not go to court to decide my child support payments. We agreed to certain things ( including who provides health insurance) in what they call a mediation. Can she change these agreements we have signed off on in mediation, without going to court?

Re: childsupport/mediation

Hello, it is difficult to give you a helpful reply with what little facts I have here. If parties agree to something in mediation, if someone wants to change it, then they have to go to court and give the other party notice of the court hearing. That is the general rule.

Based on the few facts you have given me, however, it does seem like there is more to your case that you would need to know than I told you in this note. However, I would need to meet with you and gather those facts to know for sure. Best wishes, Mark J. Mahoney, Attorney 920-984-4529
