out of country travel
my ex-wife wants to take the kids out of the country do i have to let them go?

If you have joint legal custody of the children, your ex may need your agreement if you consider the travel to be a major decision. Also, if the travel interferes with your placement time, you may object.
If you have very strong objections for good reasons, you may be able to prevent their departure from the US by contacting law enforcement, such as Homeland Security, and indicating you do not consent to the removal of your children. This may or may not be effective. It may also be frowned on by the Family Court, depending on the circumstances.
