Re: DNA testing

Hello,

I must admit I am not positive of the answer to this question. First, my inclination is to say no, that DNA cannot be tested with knowledge or consent. Usually those tests occur because the person themselves orders the test to prove something that they want to prove. I have never heard of that being done without knowledge or consent. However, there may be some situations, criminal or otherwise, where someone gets some material that could be DNA tested. If that is the case, I do not know of anything that prohibits someone from doing DNA testing. Of course, if they dont have your DNA they have nothing to match it against. Also, it is hard for me to give a good answer because you have provided so little in the way of facts. My suggestion is to consult with a local lawyer who can have all the facts and help you with your issues. Good luck, Mark J. Mahoney
