Re: family act
Greetings,
The key for the law is that it be your child, not so much who is providing what support or where the child lives. However, qualification for family leave is not always simple and straightforward. Ask your employer. Get the answer in writing whether it is in favor of leave or not. If it is not, you may want to double check the answer with an attorney, and you may have to pay a few dollars for the answer. Sometimes the answer depends on how many of employees your employer has. The bigger the company, the more rules apply, in general.
