Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin
Filing
Do I need to have an attorney to file for divoice at the clerk of clerks? I am trying to find a part time job to afford an attorney, but I fear that my husband is selling things that belong to us and I want to prevent him from doing that. He has taken back a car that is registered in his name, but was technically my vehicle ( we traded in my brand new car to buy it and I was the primary driver of it for five years) Would filing even prevent him from doing those types of things even though I don't have an attorney at this point? I am desperate.

Re: Filing
Hello,
Filing and getting a hearing set for a temporary order would accomplish what you want. You can file and schedule the hearing without an attorney, if you can get the paperwork and fill it out.
