Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

How to get full custody

i am a single mother i take care of my 4 month old son without any of the fathers help. We have court in september of 2000 for custody, i want full custody of my son. I am very worried about if he will get joint custody or not. He does not help us at all never even calls or anything (neglects us). I live with my parents and he lives with his, we are never in contact. I do not want him to have anything to do with my child at all. My Question: in court will he have the right to get joint custody of someone he has neglected, do i have anything to worry about?

I really need some legal advise can you help please?

Re: How to get full custody

This is information and NOT LEGAL ADVICE.

Joint legal custody means both of you will have to make major decisions regarding the child together.

Primary physical custody means where the child will live.

Alternate physical custody or visitation is his right to access.

Now, your hearing will probably deal with a blood test. After the results you'll have another hearing where the Court will ask you your reasons for sole. There are a lot of books in the public library to answer you questions regarding paternity. If there is a dispute then your child will have a lawyer.

Child support will be figured out along with tax, back support, and health insurance issues.

There are a lot of very good family lawyers out there and I suggest the yellow pages in your area. Look for a lawyer who concentrates in paternity/divorce.

Best wishes,
