Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Guardian Ad Litem

We have a Wisconsin GAL appointed to our case. A 13 year old who lives with his father wants to live with his mother in Iowa with his other siblings. We have set an appointment with the GAL. There are strange documented events that have occurred in my Ex's home plus I have audio tapes showing it is almost impossible to discuss anything with my Ex regarding visitations it is like talking in circles. Should I present the audio tapes to the GAL to see where my frustrations are arising from? How much past documentation from the past 2 years do I provide to the GAL to not overwhelm them?

You're not being nearly specific enough to allow me to give you an informed opinion. The problem you'll have with your audio tapes are that you can't legally authenticat them and if you do, surreptitious eavesdropping and recording private conversations is probably illegal.

The issue is not your frustrations. The issue is whether the court thinks your home is enough of an improvement to change the custody and support order.
