Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

health insurance, PLEASE HELP!

doesn't my ex husband who lives in wiscon have to carry an insurance that our daughter can use here in florida. He agreed to us moving here five years ago and our divorce took place in wisconsin. Is there some law or statue i can use? The court papers state he has to have health insurance but what good is that if she can't use it where she resides? Thank you.

I would think, without seeing the wording in the court order that it meant insure her health whereever she might be.

If there was no language that said she had to have WI insurance, then I think you go back to Court(whre the divorce was finalized) and get your attorney up there to file a motion to seek relief.

It may be that the insurance offered by his employer is not good outside the state of Florida. It may be that you'll have to get the insurance and he'll have to pay for it. You should speak to him about it and, if the two of you can't agree, you'll have to go back to court.
