Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Home - re-finance

My husband and I submitted paaperwork to re=finance our home on 6-28.

Since then we hae seperated are are strongly considering filing for dirce.

Do we hold off the re-finance or try to do it just in the future property oweners neame ?

Second question: we are trying to keep the divorce civil. We have 4 children & joint poperty. Can we get 1 attorney to help us with all the paperwork or do we really each need to have our own attoney?

Thanks for any info Marsha

I would suggest that you do not refinance until you determine whether you will be seeking a divorce or not. You may use one lawyer to draft the paperwork with the understanding that the lawyer cannot represent both parties. This would be a conflict of interest.
