Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

My kids safety

I was recently approched by my ex-husband's friends saying they witnessed his girlfriend give my son cough syrup w/codine. He also allowed this girlfriend to take our daughter to the emergency room w/out my consent where she recieved medical treatment. He is now getting evicted, his gas is off, and the electric will be off after Monday. I do not want my children going there under these conditions. They are 13 and 11 years old. What can I do in this situation?

Your quickest remedy will likely be to contact your county's human services department with your concerns. Human services will have a child protection section to look into your concerns. Be aware contacting human services is often done with false or exaggerated information in order to gain an advantage over the other parent. Be sure you provide full detailed information. You must be willing to identify in full any witnesses. Also be aware, human services involvement will mean your involvement as well.
