Laws on leaving young children at home alone

I have recently been told be my oldest child which is 8years old that her dad has been leaving them alone in the middle of the night to pick up his oldest daughter from work which takes about a half hour to do is this legal?

There is nothing illegal about it. However, it may be a situation that endangers teh child in the Court's eyes. You may wish to raise this issue with the other parent and if you cannot resolve it mediate. If that fails, take court action.
