Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

my mother in law gave me a table. she passed away a few moths ago. my sister in law said i have to give the table back, and that they own the house. i called the assessors office and the house is still owned by my father in law. my sister in law said she will call the police if i dont give back the table. do i have to give it back?

If your mother in law gave you the table while she was alive, you do not have to give it back. If your sister in law calls the police it is likely to be a "I said, She said" situation and the police are unlikely to get involved.
