Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Placement change

we are involved in a temporary change in placement of my husbands children and their mother is demanding that we turn over all of the childrens clothing to her. By law do we have to do this. The reason I ask is the children will be coming back and she never returns items that we send over and don't want to have to by all new clothes in a month. please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you.

Re: Placement change

Assuming that you purchased these items for the children for when they come and visit, then you are not required to give them to their mother. If she was to take you to court on this then you would explain as you did in your question that these clothes are here for the benefit of the children for when they visit and that their mother has a habit of not returning these items and you can not afford to repeatedly purchase new clothing.
