Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Primary Placement of minor children

My exwife said she needed time off from the three minor children. We wrote a stipulation that I got them for 2 years. The two years ends in 5 months. I don't want to give them back. What are my options? We live two hours away and she has only come to visit them about 8 times in the 18 months I have had them.

Well, in Wisconsin, a private agreement like that between the parties without a court order isn't worth the paper it's written on. We have a use-it-or-lose-it law in Wisconsin when it comes to custody/visitation. That might come in quite handy for you if you were to consider filing a motion to modify custody.
