Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Pro Se --can the judge make his own decieions even though we agree

My husband and i are getting a divorce he has agreed to give me the house..can the judge order us to split it even though we agree on what we want to happen? if so would a post-nup help?

Hello,

The judge will usually order what the parties agree to. I recommend that even if you agree, you get a lawyer to document it, and make sure you havent missed anything. It wont cost as much as you fear. Best wishes. Mark
