Sister lives in Wisconsin and is wanting to leave boyfriend. They have a kid together who is just over three months old. Can she leave and move back to Indiana and file for custody from Indiana and not be breaking any laws by leaving Wisconsin??

Assuming biodad has not been adjudicated the father in any court, and no acknowledgement has been filed. YES.

If any filings have been already made with a court, then she must petition to change custody and placement, or at least file a notice with the court to move. She should look back at her previous paperwork if she has already had contact with the Wisconsin Courts over paternity.
