Gay "Marriages" are not recognized yet......

The case that raised this question arose in Hawaii. Most states do not provide for joint sex marriages. Some have gone so far as to alllegedly refuse to recognize same sex marriages if they were valid where performed. This is of dubious constitutional validity. However, IL, for example has statutes that bar and refuse to recognize. If one to get married in a state , or country, that allows for same sex marriages, I believe other states (if a state-based marriage) have to recognize the marriage.
