Termination of Parental Rights
Is there any way to terminate parental rights of a parent in a Wisconsin, without using a lawyer? If so, what forms do I need to get, what evidence would be helpful if the parent decides to fight against t.p.r, and what would be the next step in the process?
I plan on my husband adopiting my child. Her father has never seen her nor has he ever tired to contact her. He is in contempt with the county courts for child support. The courts want us to go through a lawyer, but we would like to cut the costs down some. Any work we can do on our own would help. I was told there was a way, but I need more information. Any additional information on the matter would be helpful.

Anybody can prosecute a legal action pro se (as his/her own attorney. However, the issue is not so simple as just what form do I use -- a contested TPR is quite complicated and difficult. Personally, I cannot imagine a non-lawyer succeeding in a contested TPR and cannot in good conscience recommend that you try.
