16 year old being sued in WI

My 16 year old is being sued. Her car started on fire and scoreched the car next to it. They had time to move the car but did not. No isurance for either party. Now they are suing for an outrageaous amount, way more than the damaged caused. The papers were mailed to my daughter in just her name. Do they have to list the parents as well? Or because she is a minor we are responible for this?

Your son needs an attorney as soon as possible, since there may be many defenses available to him and only a limited time for him to assert them. Additionally, parents in WI can be held liable for the acts of their children. I would need to see the pleadings in order to give you any specific answers to your questions.
