Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Wisconsin

I want to know laws and/or city ordinances for Milwaukee, WI on airsoft guns. According to research I have done, airsoft is recognized by federal government as toys, and when I research more specifically, I get results for firearms in Wisconsin. If airsoft guns are recognized as toys, could I get into trouble with police for playing army with friends?

"Playing army" defined as shooting back and forth at each other, like a combat simulation.

Specific toy guns or devices are not likely to be listed in the statutes, nor in Milwaukee City ordinances. The way that the toy which mention will hinge not only upon the statutory definition, but also upon case law interpreting it. The likelihood of a case existing on any specific type of toy weapon is pretty low, however. The best that your lawyer could go is to take an educated guess as to how a judge might rule, after researching both. Typically, prohibited weapons are defined based upon their level of potential dangerousness.
