Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Wisconsin

Statute of Limitations

This is a two part question the first part is: What is the statute of limitations on a credit report for a car that was repossessed exactly five years ago? The second part is: I was the co-signor on the car loan for the car that was repossessed previously mentioned. Can I sue the other party that I co-signed for?

Re: Statute of Limitations

Adverse credit information may remain in your file for seven years, although that period is extended to ten years for a chapter 7 bankruptcy. Your second question appears to be whether or not you can sue to collect for loan payments you made on someone else's account for which you were the co-signor. Generally speaking, someone who pays the obligation of another has a right of subrogation (reimbursement) from that person. I would need further detail before I could go much further.
