Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Wisconsin

If someone is storing their things at my house after I kicked them out as a excuse to randomly come back and get something, can I take the items to their place of residency and leave there without permission?

Yes, but you run the risk of being sued for wrongful disposal of "evicted" possessions if you move them without the permission of the owner. The better policy would therefore be to give the possessions to their owner and get a receipt or a receipt from a family member or adult resident of the new household. Unless there is a restraining order prohibiting this person from dropping in, even this will not necessarily stop them from doing so. That is, no excuse is usually required under the law for a person to make a social visit. If you really want someone to leave you alone, you should put that fact in writing and either get that person to sign off and acknowledge receipt of the document. Even though it is not legally binding, it can form the basis for a court to issue a harassment restraining order if the person continues to bother you in the future. Since I do not have nearly enough facts to advise you in any specific legal matter, you should not consider these comments to be legal advice and should not rely upon them. Instead, you should retain an attorney and revisit the issue. My answers here do not create any attorney/client relationship between us and are instead general comments of which are potentially of interest to the viewers of this public website.
