Legal Question in Immigration Law in Wisconsin

I have H1b approval to work as a medical physician. Now I have passed exams and qualified as a cardiologist. I am filing a H1b amendment, but can I start working before it is approved? How long does it typically take? Can I premium process it?

You are most likely under the portability provisions and therefore should be able to work on another H-1B the moment it is filed.
