Legal Question in Immigration Law in Wisconsin
USCIS lost our medical examination and now wants us to do another one within 30 days. We cant afford it. We did an adjustment of status interview today for an i-485. The interview seemed to go well except for the missing medical, and the interviewer described to us the conditions of the 2 year card and so on, and then separated us and proceeded to interrogate me about my marriage to my husband and accused me having red eyes as if i had been crying, if our marriage is a sham, if we have "relations" and so on. Is this common? Feeling confused.

Yes, those questions are common. As far as you I-693, ask your civil surgeon if he/she will complete another one for you for a small fee. It would help if they kept a copy of the one they originally completed or if you can give them your copy (if they provided you with one) so that all they have to do is copy the results, have the civil surgeon sign it, and put it in the sealed envelop. Just explain your situation, and the physician may work something out with you. Hopefully, your exam wasn't done over a year ago or you will have to go through the whole process again.
It is common to separate a couple if they suspect fraud in the marriage. At least in San Francisco, this is not done unless there is some red flag to make the officer suspect fraud. You should speak to a local immigration attorney to follow up on your case. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this matter further.
