Legal Question in Insurance Law in Wisconsin
Is ADP ''market value'' outside my zipcode accurate for me?
The other driver's insurance company is giving me a low ''actual cash value'' on my totalled vehicle. The claim's adjuster admits that the NADA and Kelley values are $1,000 higher than the ADP values. The ADP didn't have this loaded 1988 conversion van in any local papers or my zip code area. The adjuster gave ADP the okay to broaden the geographic search area to include vehicle's for sale hundreds of miles away from my zip code, which were not conversions and were $1,000-2,000 less. Do the ADP vehicles used have to be within my local area? What can I do to get the adjuster to take me seriously?

Unfortunately, other than filing a small claims suit, which would not cost much, you do not have a lot of power. They have the money and you are out a car. Sometimes, when you have personal injury claim pending you have more leverage. You could tell them that you feel you are being treated unfairly and will call the Insurance Commissioner, which may get the adjuster's attention and up the ante. Good luck.
