My son was killed in an accident. The driver did not have insurance, the car is registered to the driver and his mother.the driver is 18 and the insurance was taken off the car 2 weeks before the accident.is anyone responsibe,my son was 26
1 Answer from Attorneys
If the driver of the vehicle did not have insurance, and the owner of the vehicle did not have insurance, and the driver and the owner did not live with anyone with insurance and if your son did not have insurance nor did he live with anyone who owned insurance, then it may be difficult to recover for the unfortunate death of your son. One of the benefits of hiring an experienced wrongful death attorney is that the attorney can investigate these issues.
Sadly, if there is no insurance and the driver and owner did not have significant assets, then any lawsuit may not be collectable. Please contact me if you have other questions.
