I have an idea but, dont have the funds to follow through with it at the moment so I am seeking a way to protect my idea so that I may possibley sell it or follow through with it. Can you help me?

If your idea is patentable, then you could engage a patent lawyer to file for patent registration. This is expensive -- at least $5,000 and likelier approaching $10,000. If your invention is not likely to be independently discovered by someone else, and you have not disclosed it to anyone yourself, then you would be able to protect it as a trade secret. If it is something like a computer program that can be protected by copyright, you should certainly register your work (this is quite inexpensive).
