Do guardien adleitems have the power to tell you who you can and cannot associate with even if your parents approve of the people or peoples?

In most states the guardian ad litem is responsible for reporting and making recommendations to the court. Even if your parents approve, the guardian has the ability to ask the court to enjoin (prevent) you from having contacts with people and explaining to the court why they feel so strongly. You should work this out with your GAL, and undstand that that person was appointed to look after your best interests.
