Legal Question in Employment Law in Wisconsin

dollar amout was agreed to verbally but when signed not correct amout.

While finalizing a signing bonus an amout was agreed apon by both parties but when signed the amout was not what was stated. The person who was signing the contract did not re-read the contract but assumed the changes were made. What are some options?

I would need to talk to you at least over the phone to get all of the specifics needed to fully answer your question. We offer free telephone consultations, if you are interested.

Otherwise, people generally have a "duty to read" any contract they sign and are bound to what it says, even if the other party misrepresents what is in the agreement.

There are exceptions, but I would need to discuss the situation to you to see if any of them might apply.

Hope that helps.

Jim
