Legal Question in Employment Law in Wisconsin
Medications and Employment
I recently opened up to my supervisor about having some depression issues and taking medication for these issues. She is now asking me to give her information on my medications--such as what I'm taking and what are the side-effects. The side effects do not affect my job whatsoever. Is this legal, seeing as I am the only employee being asked to do this? I really don't feel that she has the legal right to ask this because it's a private matter that I confided in her. Thank you for your response.

Re: Medications and Employment
Unless you're in a safety-sensitive job or have asked for time off, an accommodation or leave, your supervisor does not have a right to the information.
