Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Wisconsin
Breaking a Lease
I rent a duplex with three other women and one of them has a boyfriend who is over all the time without anyone home and brings friends over as well. He and now is friends know were our spare key are kept, and the rest of the roomates and myself feel that this is a potential saftey issue. What legal rights do we have to legally break our lease?

Re: Breaking a Lease
None. You must first get you roomate to end the situation ASAP + if she won't notify the LL that you will terminate the lease if he doesn't issue new keys and enforce your rights. After that you will need an attorney. I have been a LL for 25 years.
