i just bought this business from someone i know...but, after 3 month in the business..the landlord sold the building to our competation without us knowing...one day there's a home inspector show up to inspect the building..we notice he was with our competation...later that evening i call up the landlord to ask why is there a home inspector was at the building...i was told by the landlord that he just there to inspect all the window upstair for the winter....the building is not for sale and i no need to worry about it. next day i found out that there's was an offer make for the building. I caught up with the landlord and ask him was going, and i was told that there's is a offer for the building...when i brough up the conversation we have the night before..he state that he was drinking and didn't know what he was saying...i ask why he lie to me and he said that he was sorry for mislead lead me and there nothing he could do about it. I need advise of how to deal with this kind of situatuin. thank you.

I need to see the lease and any documents regarding purchase of the business.
Usually these issues are dealt with in the purchase documents.
