I am deeply saddened to hear about your situation, in which normal landlord tenant rules may be difficult to apply. My heart goes out to you and everyone else who is suffering through our countrys horrible economic situation. While self help evictions are frequently done, they are not always legal unless the landlord has gone to court and obtained a writ of restitution. Again, however, in an intimate family situation, I really do not know the applicability of such rules, or whether or not you would be willing to enforce them in court against your own mother. Please be aware that my responses to you in the public web forum do not make me your attorney and that I am not representing you or taking any action on your case.
