Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Wisconsin
bar admission
I was charged with party to a crime retail theft when i was 17, it was later expunged, I am thinking about law school in could this prevent me from law school or even bar admission? I would be 26 when I finish law school. I have no other incidents on my record.

Re: bar admission
While crimes of moral turpidtude can disqualify a candidate for bar admission, crimes committed when one is less than the age of majority(18) are ususally not a reason to bar admission to practice.
In other words, keep your nose clean (and to the grindstone) and soon you will be a collegue right here on Law Guru.
Good Luck. Oh and don't let anyone disuade you. This is a great profession if you love to help others and remember to treat everyone as you would like to be treated.
