Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Wisconsin

Can I file a lawsuit against a judge?

I had a small claims case and I feel the judge in the case is biased (he knows and dislikes my ex-husband) ultimately the judge basically called me a liar even though I had proof of everything I presented and I feel he made his decision based upon my last name. can I file a lawsuit against this judge for defamation of character?

Judges and other legal personnel [lawyers, clerks] are pretty much immune from things said in the courtroom, and a judge can never be sued because a litigant doesn't like a decision. The same rules do not apply outside the courtroom if you have evidence of defamation there.

Your best bet is to appeal an adverse judgment, not attempt to get revenge against a trial judge.
