Would contacting an infection during surgery warrant a lawyer? E
During a routine hip replacement i contacted the infection, proteous. It put me down for four months. I was completley disabled, with home nursing and high amounts of antibiotics put into my body. I feel i should be compensated for all i went through. What do you think??

You could talk with a lawyer about looking into your potential claim. The statute of limitations is three years from the date of injury, so that you should give the lawyer enough time to investigate the claim.
Generally speaking, infection cases are difficult to win. Your lawyer must find something in the records that would prove that the doctor or hospital was negligent in causing the infection or in failing to timely treat the infection. Since infections can occur without negligence, there must be something in the records that shows negligent care. Otherwise, you will be unable to prove your case.
