I feel as though I have grounds for a malpractice lawsuit and I was wondering where I begin, and what the right steps are to be taken?

The time period (statute of limitations) for filing a case is three years from the date of injury, although there are some exceptions to that rule. If you are within the three-year time period, you will need to talk with a lawyer who does medical malpractice work. Medical malpractice cases in Wisconsin are usually vigorously defended by the insurance companies for the doctors, so there are not many cases that actually get filed. You should begin looking for a medical malpractice lawyer as soon as you can.
