Lost Mom to Bad Prescription

Our mother is not the same since the pills she's been taking for twenty years have slowely but surely taken her out of "real" life. She can't go anyplace where people might know her(many trips out of town, even for groceries). Our father, who has lung cancer, must drive because she can't. The pills that have been prescribed by her psychiatrist are way too strong. Not to metion that these days she probably wouldn't even need anything but therepy. Pharmisists and doctors gasp when they are told what the pills are and for. Is there something we can do to stop this?

First, get your mom to another doctor and get her some help. Get her current problem taken care of so that you can get her better. If you can get her better, then your cause of action is probably limited. However, if there is no chance that she will get better, then there is certainly a possible medical negligence action.

Remember that statutes of limitation frequently cause a case to expire within a very short time frame, so please contact a law firm (if not us) as soon as you know what your mother's prognosis is.

But obviously, the first thing to do is get her taken care of medically.
