43 yr old husband enters ER 8/20/04 w/stroke sypmtoms.Is treated for migrane,kept for observation.Ct scan shows stroke/Lvitribrale artery . Next day more ?s sent to another facility. Has 5 strokes in ER nothing done for strokes, MRI.Dr.trys to postpone futher testing.next day, coma/intubated.Next day told NO HOPE.10days life support,18days full coma.1 month in hospital, wake &sleep modes of coma. Sent home, persistent vegistative state.No follow up.

At home coma stimulation, emerges W / faculties intact, in need of more therapy.Taken to another hospital. MRA reveals new stroke had occured,condition causing strokes still existing. We had no knoweldge of this. tried to contact attorney in (05)did not respond tried another, now told statutes of limitations expired.Is there anything we can do?

It does not sound as though there is anything you can do. The usual statute of limmitations for medical malpractice cases in Wisconsin is three years from the date of injury. That time period can be enlarged if the patient did not discover that he was injured until later, but then the patient has just one year from the date of discovery. Since you were contacting a lawyer in 2005, it does not appear that the discovery rule will apply to your case.
