If you are discharged from the military for being AWOL, it is likely you will have problems to enter again.

In the end it will depend on the characterization of the discharge and your re-entry code (1-4). Likely your re-entry code is not so favorable.

You can apply to upgrade the characterization and re-entry code in certain circumstances...but the circumstances are typically limited to a mistake or injustice in your processing.

You can try, and you'll likely need a waiver. Try the National Guard, they are usually pretty desperate for recruits. Wait until the last week of the month when the recruiters are desperate to make their quota; better chance of getting a waiver.
