What can I do if I opened a can of tuna and it had worms in it?

Re: Food contamination.

If you ate any of this product and were sick, you have a personal injury claim. But if you just saw the worms, then I think you should return it to where you bought it from and get a refund. Also, I would take a photo of it and mail a copy of that with a letter and the UPC numbers to the manufacturer. Do not ask for anything in the letter but just tell them that you are very disappointed in this experience with their product. You may get something out of it.

If you did not eat the tuna or were somehow injured

by the product, you can take the can back and get your

money back for it.

You can take it back to the store and get either a refund or a different can of tuna. If you ate the tuna with the worms and got sick, you could also claim compensation for your sickness, including payment for the medical bills.
