Legal Question in Personal Injury in Wisconsin

Personal Injury Release of Injury/Liability Forms

Hello, This is a great site, especially for a poor 21 year old college student. The other day I hit a lady with my car, no problems, I'm claiming everything was my fault, etc etc etc.....what I have been looking for is some type of form which she can sign saying basically....she's not hurt, she cant sue me, etc etc etc just so in 2 years she doesnt have all these back problems, etc everyone knows what im getting at..... does anyone have a form I can use or know where I can get just so I can cover my butt in the long run... Thanks for all the help, its great you have this site out here and I will reccomend this to everyone I know. I appreciate it.

Regards,

Russ from Wisconsin-Stout

Re: Personal Injury Release of Injury/Liability Forms

Your plan is a good one, but I think that you should consult with a lawyer to be sure that the document passes legal muster. There are standard releases that are commonly used to resolve cases like yours. I suspect that a lawyer could prepare such a release for you for very little cost. Then, you would not have to worry about whether you adequately protected yourself. There is a good lawyer in Menomonie, Phillip M. Steans. He could probably help you prepare a simple release. His phone number is 715-235-5550.
