Legal Question in Personal Injury in Wisconsin
Police try to beat a confession out of me.
I was beaten by police trying to get a confession out of me. The Police knocked 2 teeth out, kicked me in the back and busted a vertibra in my back. It happened in 2007, is there anything I can do about it.

You are likely precluded from bringing several claims in tort because of notice requirements for suing municipalities. However, what you really want to find out is whether you have a valid 1983 civil rights action against the officers and city/county involved. You are likely pushing up against the time period available for filing suit so get going calling attorneys to find out whether you've got a claim. We'd be happy to evaluate your situation.
